Brandenburg CSD events face potential right-wing protests

Queer community members are holding Christopher Street Day (CSD) events in three Brandenburg cities—Hennigsdorf, Jüterbog, and Bad Belzig—to advocate for diversity and against discrimination.

In Hennigsdorf, organizers expect between 500 and 1,000 participants under the motto ‘Liebe ist alles’. However, police are preparing for potential disruptions from a planned right-wing extremist protest in the area. In contrast, authorities report no specific indications of potential disturbances for the events in Jüterbog and Bad Belzig.

Police are providing security for all three demonstrations as participants gather to promote LGBTQ+ visibility and rights.
