Brandi Glanville to undergo exploratory facial surgery for suspected parasite
Reality television personality Brandi Glanville has announced she is scheduled for exploratory facial surgery to address long-standing health issues. Glanville, known for “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” stated on her podcast that the procedure, performed by reconstructive surgeon Dr. Carlo Honrado, aims to investigate growths she believes may be fungal or parasitic.
Glanville reported that her symptoms began in her cheek and jaw before spreading to her head, neck, and spine. She believes the condition may have originated during a 2023 trip to Morocco. Previous diagnoses disclosed by Glanville include coccidioidomycosis (Valley fever), Demodex dermatitis, mononucleosis, and highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm.
The upcoming surgery is described as more intensive than a facelift. Glanville expressed a mix of excitement for answers and fear regarding the procedure. She noted that her ongoing medical treatments, including daily IV infusions, cost between $3,300 and $6,000 per month.
