Brașov to host major literary and drama festivals in September 2026

Brașov will host two major cultural events in September 2026. The DrAMAtic Brașov International Festival, organized by the Sică Alexandrescu Theatre, will run from September 11 to 20. The 31st edition features the theme ‘AMA’ (Latin for ‘Love!’) and includes productions from Romania, Moldova, and Greece. Notable performances include Marcel Iureș in ‘O scrisoare pierdută’ and productions from Chișinău and Theatro Kallirrois.

Additionally, the second edition of the NOD – International Literary Rights Festival is scheduled for September 24 to 27, 2026. This year’s theme, ‘Building Communities’, focuses on the role of community in spreading culture through shared experiences, dialogue, and recommendations. The festival aims to bridge creative disciplines and foster connections between professionals and the public.
