In the Timiș region, traditional Banat folklore festivals took place in mid-August, alongside the Luminaria Festival in Corbu and the Sunscape Festival in Parța. Recent programming included “Armonii în Sebeș” and the “ASTRA în Festival” in Dumbrava Sibiului. The 25th anniversary of the ProEtnica Intercultural Festival in Sighișoara successfully concluded, drawing approximately 12,000 spectators—an increase of 2,000 visitors over the previous year. Despite facing “significant financial difficulties and a loss of expected funding,” the event was sustained through the solidarity of volunteers and minority organizations.

September programming expands to include the 54th Sibiu Jazz Festival (September 2–6) and the ninth ‘Literatura Tinerilor’ (Youth Literature) Festival in Neptun (September 4–6). Film events scheduled for mid-September include the Alexandre Trauner Art/Film Festival (ATAFF) retrospective beginning September 11, honoring production designer József Romvári with rarely screened Hungarian films. Additionally, the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) will host outdoor screenings in Szászfenes from September 11 to 20.

Artisan events are also scheduled for mid-September, including the 43rd Creative Buzz festival in Sibiu (September 11–13), featuring over 40 small businesses, and the Harababura Artisan Festival at Faber (September 12–13). Other upcoming events include the DrAMAtic Brașov International Festival (September 11–20), the third ‘Zestrea – Festival of Arts and Delights’ (September 12–13), and the second NOD – International Literary Rights Festival (September 24–27). Looking ahead, the Iaşi International Literature and Translation Festival (FILIT) will take place October 21–25.
