Água Mineral pools remain closed due to delayed structural reforms

The Areal and Pedreira pools at Água Mineral in the Brasília National Park have remained closed for six months due to structural issues. The Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio) stated that the administrative bidding process for the necessary reforms is currently underway. While the project for the Pedreira pool was reportedly finalized in June, it still requires cost evaluation, and there is no current information regarding the status of the Areal pool project.

In other regional developments, traffic disruptions have been reported across several areas. In Brasília, an oil leak on the JK Bridge caused partial closures, though reverse lanes were opened to facilitate flow toward Plano Piloto. In Maringá, traffic on the PR-317 highway will be diverted to marginal roads to allow for the construction of a containment wall near the Industrial Park. Additionally, the Júlio Müller Bridge in Várzea Grande will face temporary closures during the weekend to accommodate BRT infrastructure works.
