Overview

A fuel tanker overturned on the BR-020 highway near Planaltina in the Distrito Federal on a Tuesday night. The accident caused gasoline and diesel S10 to leak onto the road's central median.

The Military Fire Brigade of the Distrito Federal (CBMDF) responded by using water and foam to cool the trailer and mitigate fire risks. To facilitate a controlled transfer of the spilled fuel to another vehicle, the highway was closed in both directions. Multiple agencies, including the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the Military Police of the Distrito Federal (PMDF), and the Department of Roads of the Distrito Federal (DER-DF), assisted with traffic control and recovery operations.
