Braunschweig highway interchange expansion causes traffic restrictions

Construction work is beginning at the Ölper highway interchange in Braunschweig to expand the connection between the A391 and A392 motorways. The project, managed by Autobahn GmbH, is scheduled to be completed by early December.

The work will be conducted in two phases. The first phase, starting October 5, involves earthworks that will narrow the A392 to a single lane by restricting the hard and shoulder lanes in the direction of B214/Watenbüttel.

A second phase is expected to begin in mid-November, which will involve closing the hard and shoulder lanes of the A391 in the direction of Bad Harzburg/Salzgitter/Kassel. While lane restrictions are in place, all driving connections within the Ölper interchange will remain open.
