Brazil banks broaden credit and financial services for franchise businesses

Brazilian banks are expanding credit lines and specialized financial products for the franchising sector, citing the industry's revenue predictability, high margins and low delinquency rates. Bradesco highlights its partnership with the BNDES‑Sebrae guarantee fund, offering loans up to R$660,000 backed by guarantees on receivables and shareholder endorsements. Caixa runs the "Caixa Mais Franquias" programme, providing tailored financing for franchise start‑ups and expansions, including working‑capital, equipment and payment‑solution loans.

At the ABF Franchising Expo 2026, BTG Pactual presented a suite of services for franchisors and franchisees: free corporate accounts, unlimited Pix, no‑annual‑fee credit cards, automation tools for financial management, payroll integration and lines of credit such as receivable‑anticipation and invoice discounting. A standout offering allows franchise networks to access the free‑market electricity market, cutting electricity costs by roughly 15% without capital investment. The franchise sector recorded record sales of R$301.7 billion in 2025 and continues to grow at double‑digit rates, prompting banks to view franchising as a strategic growth avenue.
