Brazil Catholic Church Meets to Advance Evangelization Guidelines
The National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB) hosted a six‑day Pastoral Coordinators Meeting from July 20‑24, focusing on the new General Guidelines for Evangelizing Action (DGAE), the final Synod document, and themes such as AI in pastoral work. Sessions were led by bishops and priests, including an overview of the DGAE chapters and discussions on synodality and missionary activity. The event concluded with a plenary synthesis and practical planning for local churches.
Separately, on July 18, a regional catechetical commission gathered representatives from 20 parishes at the Centre of Pastoral “Maria, Mother of the Church” to strengthen parish catechesis, share the commission’s mission, and outline activities for the second half of 2026. Participants reviewed catechetical objectives, applied a questionnaire to assess local needs, and planned future visits and formation initiatives.
Both gatherings aim to deepen evangelization efforts and coordinate pastoral actions across Brazil’s Catholic communities.
