Brazil completes final PIS/Pasep salary bonus payments for 2026

The Brazilian government has concluded the final round of PIS/Pasep salary bonus payments for the 2026 calendar year, targeting workers born in November and December. This final installment injected R$ 5.2 billion into the economy, benefiting approximately 4.1 million citizens. Payments range from R$ 136 to a maximum of R$ 1,621, determined by the duration of formal employment during the 2024 base year.

Despite the completion of the payment schedule, Caixa Econômica Federal reports that approximately R$ 69.3 million remains uncollected by more than 2 million workers. Beneficiaries have until December 30, 2026, to withdraw these funds. While Caixa manages payments for private sector employees, Banco do Brasil is responsible for the Pasep benefits distributed to public servants.

Workers can verify their eligibility and payment details through the Digital Work Card (Carteira de Trabalho Digital) application.
