Brazil convenes major inclusive education conferences in Fortaleza and Alta Floresta

The 4th International Inclusive Education Seminar organized by SESI Nacional took place in Fortaleza on July 30‑31, 2026. The event, titled “Inclusion in Motion: Practices and Accessibility,” gathered Brazilian and foreign specialists, educators, researchers and public officials to discuss universal design for learning, autism inclusion, and neuroscience‑based teaching methods. Key speakers included Paulo Mól Júnior, director‑superintendent of SESI’s National Department, professor Eladio Sebastián Heredero from Universidad de Alcalá, and neuro‑educator Dr. Fernando Lauria.

In parallel, the municipality of Alta Floresta participated in the CISITEA 2026 International Congress “Sowing Inclusion of Autism.” Education secretary Lucinéia Mazzoni and Mayor Chico Gamba highlighted the importance of continuous professional training for teachers and health workers to improve inclusive practices for children with autism. The congress featured national and international experts, workshops, and exchanges on research, pedagogy, therapeutic interventions, public policies and technology for autism inclusion.
