Brazil dental health initiatives launch nationwide and in São Paulo

Multiple dental health campaigns are being implemented across Brazil to promote oral hygiene and prevention. In a national mobilization on October 29, Colgate and the Brazilian Association of Dentistry (ABO) are targeting over 100,000 children across more than 85 cities. This initiative, part of the 'Um Sorriso do Tamanho do Brasil' program, includes educational activities, guided brushing sessions led by volunteer dentists, and the distribution of oral hygiene kits.

Simultaneously, the São Paulo Municipal Health Secretariat (SMS) is hosting the fifth edition of 'Virada Odontológica' from October 26 to 29. This program offers 463 activities across all regions of the city to celebrate National Dentist Day. The local initiative includes lectures, dental evaluations, topical fluoride application, and supervised brushing. Topics covered range from oral health for seniors and people with chronic diseases to pediatric care and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
