Brazil election results: Governors and senators elected in first round

More than 125.2 million voters in Brazil participated in the first round of elections to select candidates for state deputies, federal deputies, senators, governors, and the presidency.

Key results include the election of several governors and senators across various states. In some regions, second-round runoffs have been established, such as the gubernatorial race between Mailza Assis (PP) and Alan Rick (Republicanos), and the senatorial contest between Omar Aziz (PSD) and Professora Maria do Carmo (PL).

The election also saw significant shifts in legislative composition, with the Chamber of Deputies seeing a 35% renewal rate. Notable individual results include Alvinho Lira (PP) being identified as a highly voted federal deputy, and the election of senators such as Rui Costa (PT) and Jaques Wagner (PT) in Bahia, and Cid Gomes (PSB) and Luizianne Lins (Rede) in Ceará.
