Brazil electoral courts issue voting logistics updates

Regional Electoral Courts in Brazil have issued updates regarding voter logistics for the second round of the 2026 Elections.

The Regional Electoral Court of Alagoas (TRE/AL) announced that the deadline to request ‘voto em trânsito’ (transit voting) has passed. The period for requesting this modality, which allows voters to cast ballots in a different municipality from their registered domicile, ended on August 20. Voters who are away from their electoral domicile on election day without prior authorization must justify their absence via the e-Título app or in person to avoid regularization issues.

In Sergipe, the Regional Electoral Court (TRE-SE) has reopened applications for free transportation for voters with disabilities or reduced mobility through the ‘Seu Voto Importa’ program. Interested individuals must complete an electronic form on the TRE-SE website or via WhatsApp by Friday, the 16th. Access to this service is subject to criteria including the degree of functional limitation, lack of accessible public transport, and an income of up to one minimum wage.
