Brazil electric mobility market expands through retail logistics and charging infrastructure

The electric mobility sector in Brazil is experiencing significant growth in both retail logistics and infrastructure. The startup Voltrix has emerged to facilitate strategic purchasing for electric micromobility retailers. By organizing collective buying groups for independent shopkeepers, the company aims to increase negotiating power with Asian manufacturers for products such as electric bicycles and scooters. Voltrix currently intermediates approximately ten containers per month and targets a portfolio of 200 associates by July 2026.

Simultaneously, the infrastructure for electric vehicles (EVs) is expanding to support long-distance travel. According to the Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association (ABVE), Brazil has surpassed 21,000 public charging stations, including over 6,400 fast and ultra-fast chargers. This expansion has contributed to a 196.4% increase in EV sales compared to the same period in 2025. States like São Paulo and Paraná are leading in infrastructure development, with Paraná establishing charging corridors to connect major urban hubs.
