- Increased imprisonment for producing or recording sexual abuse material, rising from 4–8 years to 4–10 years. Penalties increase by one-third if the crime involves the internet or social media. - Explicit criminalization of content generated or manipulated via artificial intelligence, such as deepfakes. - Enhanced penalties for grooming, solicitation, or the use of digital anonymization tools (like IP masking) to evade identification. - Increased sentences for acquiring, possessing, or storing illegal material from 1–4 years to 3–6 years.
To improve enforcement, the law authorizes security agencies to conduct "virtual patrols" in public digital environments to collect evidence without prior judicial authorization. Additionally, the law ensures that victims receive specialized psychological and psychosocial support through the Unified Health System (SUS), with the cost of such treatment to be reimbursed by the offenders.
