Brazil ETF market grows to R$ 130 billion

The Brazilian ETF industry is experiencing a significant growth cycle, with assets under management rising from approximately R$ 50 billion at the end of 2024 to nearly R$ 130 billion by July 2026.

This acceleration is driven by the scalability, low cost, and tax efficiency of the products. A notable shift occurred in 2026, as fixed-income ETFs surpassed equity ETFs in total assets under management for the first time. The industry has also reached 1% of the total Brazilian fund market allocation.

Key factors contributing to this surge include increased scrutiny of active management, the end of certain tax-advantaged exclusive funds, and a high-interest-rate environment that favors ETFs linked to CDI and real rates. The product offering has expanded significantly, with one-third of the current 210 available funds launched during 2025 and 2026.
