Brazil expands AI higher‑education programs

The Senac Amazonas Faculty of Technology will launch a two‑year Superior Technology course in Artificial Intelligence in the second semester of 2026. The program is designed to train professionals for forensic, digital‑security, data‑science and innovation roles, responding to rising demand for qualified AI specialists.

The Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL) will begin a four‑and‑a‑half‑year Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence on 27 September, starting with 40 students and targeting up to 80 graduates per year. The curriculum covers machine learning, neural networks, ethics and applied AI, and aligns with Brazil’s national AI strategy. Both initiatives illustrate a rapid expansion of AI education in Brazil to meet market needs across industry, public sector and research.
