Brazil expands emergency medical fleets with new ambulances

Municipalities and emergency services in Brazil are expanding their medical transport capabilities through new ambulance acquisitions.

Dionísio Cerqueira has added a new ambulance valued at R$ 414,000 to its municipal health department. Funded by the municipality through the auction of unusable assets, the vehicle is equipped for respiratory support, cardiac resuscitation, and the transport of individuals with reduced mobility. This addition brings the city's total to three equipped ambulances.

In the region of Cruzeiro do Sul, the Emergency Mobile Care Service (Samu) received three new vehicles, including two for basic support and one for advanced support. These units are intended to replace older vehicles in the fleet. Notably, one ambulance assigned to the Santa Luzia region will utilize Starlink internet to ensure communication in areas with limited cellular coverage. Additionally, the municipalities of Feijó and Tarauacá each received a new ambulance to strengthen regional emergency response.
