Brazil expands Minha Casa, Minha Vida eligibility to households earning up to 13,000 BRL and homes up to 600,000 BRL

The Minha Casa, Minha Vida program in Brazil has updated its eligibility rules to broaden access. The income cap is raised to 13,000 reais per month, and the maximum property value eligible is increased to 600,000 reais. The changes are designed to widen homeownership opportunities for middle-income households by allowing higher incomes and higher-priced homes to qualify for subsidized financing.

Caixa Econômica Federal began applying the new financing terms, as approved by the FGTS board and regulated by the Ministry of Cities, signaling a formal government policy update to housing finance.
