Brazil expands mobile health services with 'Agora Tem Mais Especialistas' program

In Piên, a new 28‑seat adapted bus was added to transport patients to hospitals in the Curitiba metropolitan area, part of the federal "Agora Tem Mais Especialistas" program. It operates daily from 4:10 a.m., serving routes to hospitals in Araucária, Campo Largo, São José dos Pinhais, Piraquara and others, aiming to improve safety, comfort and punctuality for patients needing specialized care.

In Imperatriz, a mobile unit (a truck) arrived to provide specialized imaging exams for SUS patients for 30 days, stationed at Praça Mané Garrincha. The unit offers ultrasound and CT scans across many body parts, reducing waiting lists and bringing high‑complexity equipment closer to residents of Imperatriz and surrounding municipalities in the Tocantins region.
