The municipality of Valinhos (São Paulo) announced that free neutering slots for dogs and cats remain available. Registrations are accepted via WhatsApp and the surgeries are slated for the 19th of the coming month.

Ouro Preto (Minas Gerais) is continuing its Mutirão de Castração, offering free castration, microchip implantation and post‑operative care through a mobile unit that will serve the city centre and outlying districts from mid‑June to early July. The program previously performed 835 surgeries in early 2026.

In the state of Paraíba, the Secretaria Executiva da Proteção Animal (Sepa‑PB) will provide 475 castration slots across João Pessoa, Campina Grande, Mamanguape, Pedras de Fogo and Juripiranga between 15 and 19 June. The mobile Castramóveis will also conduct pre‑surgical hemogram tests.

Ubá (Minas Gerais) launched the SOS Pet Popular program to expand veterinary care for vulnerable and stray animals, including free castration. A public bidding process was opened with an estimated budget of R$ 984,540 to contract a specialized clinic for emergency care, surgeries and population‑management services.
