Brazil is expanding its primary healthcare infrastructure through new Basic Health Unit (UBS) constructions in various regions.

In the state of Goiás, the Ministry of Health is overseeing the construction of four new units in Divinópolis de Goiás, Monte Alegre de Goiás, and Cavalcante. These projects are supported by R$ 8.6 million in investments from the Novo PAC Saúde program. Specifically, Divinópolis de Goiás and Monte Alegre de Goiás are each receiving R$ 1.9 million, while Cavalcante is receiving R$ 4.8 million for two units. These facilities aim to strengthen the Unified Health System (SUS) by providing local access to medical consultations, vaccinations, and maternal care.

Additionally, the municipality of Teixeira de Freitas has begun constructing a new UBS in the Nova América neighborhood. Unlike the projects in Goiás, this construction is being funded entirely by the municipality's own resources. The facility is designed to include medical and nursing offices, dental care, and vaccination rooms, with specific provisions for accessibility and ambulance access.
