Brazil features significant regional trekking and pilgrimage routes that promote ecotourism and community-based travel.

The Caminho dos Veadeiros is a trail designed for hiking and cycling that traverses the Cerrado biome. Connecting the municipalities of Formosa and Cavalcante in Goiás, the route spans 1,212 kilometers across four sectors. It passes through several protected areas, including the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park and the Planalto Central Environmental Protection Area, offering landscapes such as canyons, waterfalls, and the Serra Geral do Paranã.

In the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais, the Caminho da Fé serves as a major religious pilgrimage route inspired by the Camino de Santiago. The network extends over 2,500 kilometers, leading to the National Sanctuary of Aparecida. A primary branch of the trail covers 320 kilometers through the Serra da Mantiqueira within the Atlantic Forest biome. The route traverses various state parks and environmental protection areas, supporting local community tourism through its diverse terrain of mountains, forests, and plains.
