Brazil expands youth education with new music training and university special‑course programmes

A free six‑month online music training programme in Pernambuco will admit about 300 young people aged 14‑30, focusing on beginners and offering pathways to cultural exchange and the creative economy. The project, supported by the federal Rouanet cultural incentive law, will operate in ten municipalities and includes human‑development content.

Separately, the Federal University of Paraná’s Francisco Beltrão campus has opened applications for its “Integra UTFPR” edital, allowing high‑school and technical‑school students to enroll as special students in undergraduate courses such as Agronomy, Environmental Engineering, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Information Systems. The selection process is free and runs until 31 July, with results expected in early August.

Both initiatives aim to broaden educational access for Brazilian youth and strengthen pathways to higher education and cultural participation.
