Brazil Extends Enem 2026 Registration Deadline to Friday

The National High School Exam (Enem) for 2026 has its online registration period extended by one week, closing at 23:59 (Brasília time) on Friday, 12 June. Candidates must register through the Participant Page on the Inep portal using a Gov.br login. The extension also applies to requests for social‑name treatment and specialized accessibility support, including assistance for conditions such as fibromyalgia, anxiety and obsessive‑compulsive disorder.

For the first time, all public‑school high‑school graduates are automatically enrolled by the federal government; they only need to confirm participation, select a foreign‑language test (English or Spanish) and indicate any accessibility or social‑name needs. Non‑exempt candidates will receive a payment slip of R$ 85, payable by 17 June via Pix, credit card, debit or boleto. Participants in the Pé‑de‑Meia program, Ministry of Education beneficiaries and public‑school graduates are exempt from the fee.

The exams are scheduled for Sundays 8 and 15 November, with about 80 % of public‑school graduates expected to sit the test at their own schools. Enem scores are used for university admission through programs such as Sisu, Prouni and Fies, and are also accepted by Portuguese higher‑education institutions with agreements with Inep.
