Mato Grosso police arrest criminal gang leaders in Bolivia and Paraguay

The Mato Grosso Civil Police have conducted a series of high-profile operations targeting criminal faction leaders hiding in other Brazilian states and neighboring countries. Through intelligence and international cooperation, authorities have successfully arrested several key figures in Bolivia and Paraguay.

Notable arrests include Angelica Saraiva de Sá, known as ‘Angeliquinha’, a prominent gang leader who was located in a luxury condominium in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. She has since been transferred to a female penitentiary in Cuiabá. Other recent captures include Willian Guilherme dos Santos and Dr. André Barbosa de Souza, the latter apprehended in San Matias during a joint operation involving Polinter, Draco, and Interpol.

Between June and October, five faction leaders were arrested in Bolivia and one in Paraguay. Police officials stated that these results demonstrate the effectiveness of state investments in combating organized crime and strengthening institutional integration.
