Brazil health authorities address food security and SUS regulatory challenges

Health and food security officials in Brazil are convening to address regulatory and nutritional challenges. In Alagoas, an upcoming meeting between CONSEA Maceió and health surveillance authorities will focus on food and nutritional security, environmental health, and the human right to adequate food. Simultaneously, the Conass Technical Chamber of Sanitary Law met with representatives from State Health Secretariats to discuss legal and regulatory challenges within the Unified Health System (SUS). Key topics include parliamentary amendments, patient integration into care networks, mental health litigation, and the regulatory landscape for medicinal cannabis within the public health system.
