Brazil health clinics suspend services and extend hours in Pernambuco and Sergipe
In Pernambuco, a clinic that provides specialized consulting and physiotherapy under the SASSEPE health plan announced on July 13 that it will suspend patient appointments, urging beneficiaries to confirm times before visiting. This suspension adds to earlier reports of interruptions in consultations, exams and other services at SASSEPE‑affiliated providers across the state.
In Aracaju, Sergipe, the state’s Centro de Atenção à Saúde (Case) announced a new operating schedule starting July 13, remaining open continuously from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. without a lunch break. Medication token distribution will run from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and token distribution for nutrition formulas will be available until 1 p.m.
