Brazil health reports show varying SRAG and dengue trends

Health authorities in Brazil are monitoring various respiratory and viral outbreaks across different regions. According to Fiocruz, the state of Acre is not currently under alert for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SRAG), while Alagoas, Mato Grosso, and Roraima remain at alert or high-risk levels. Nationally, 141,009 SRAG cases have been reported in the 2026 epidemiological year.

In Três Lagoas, epidemiological surveillance reported 76 confirmed dengue cases out of 599 notifications, along with 10 positive Covid-19 cases. The municipality also recorded nine deaths related to SRAG and 225 hospitalizations for the syndrome. Additionally, 24 cases of Chikungunya and one case of Zika virus were confirmed.

In Londrina, the Municipal Health Secretariat noted a proportional decrease in pediatric urgent care visits for flu syndromes, though SRAG hospitalizations saw a slight increase from 19 to 24 cases. Common circulating viruses in the area include Rhinovirus, Metapneumovirus, Adenovirus, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV).
