Brazil announces 2026 updates for ENEM, ENARE and teacher exams

The National Institute for Educational Studies (Inep) released the results of the specialized assistance requests for the 2026 ENEM. Candidates whose requests are approved will receive accommodations such as guide dogs or extra time of 60 minutes per day. Requests denied can be appealed from 29 June to 3 July, with the appeal outcome to be published on 10 July. The ENEM exams are scheduled for 8 and 15 November, with results expected in January 2027.

Registrations for the 2026/2027 National Residency Exam (ENARE) close on 29 June for direct‑access specialties; the deadline for programs requiring prerequisites is 15 July. The application fee is R$ 330 for direct‑access specialties and R$ 220 for other health‑area programs. ENARE will be held in 60 cities on 13 September, and the objective test score will be taken from the Enamed exam administered by Inep.

Mato Grosso’s State Education Department (Seduc‑MT) opened a simplified selection process for 20 immediate teacher positions (with a reserve list) to work in the Preparatory Course for the Youth and Adult Education Certification Exam (ECEJA). Applications are accepted online until 30 June, with work to begin in August 2026.

The Ministry of Education (MEC) and Inep announced that registration for the 2026 Prova Nacional Docente (PND) is open until 3 July, with the exam slated for 20 September. Teachers receive guidance messages via WhatsApp and Gov.br to assist with the process.

In Mato Grosso do Sul, the transfer competition for state teachers closes on 30 June, allowing teachers to change schools without losing employment rights.

The deadline to join the waiting list for the Sisu+ university admission platform ends on 26 June.
