Brazil holds free new ID card mutirões in Paraná and Viana
The state of Paraná is hosting a three‑day "Paraná em Ação" service fair in Cornélio Procópio from 21 to 23 July, offering free issuance of the new national identity card (CIN) alongside migration assistance, senior‑citizen IDs, social‑tariff advice, legal aid, health consultations and job‑placement referrals. Applicants must bring original birth or marriage certificates, CPF and proof of residence, with optional supporting documents such as voter registration or driver’s licence.
In Viana, Espírito Santo, a CIN mutirão is scheduled for 30 July 2026 at the Centro Multiuso "É Pra Já" from 17:00 to 20:00. Seventy tokens will be distributed on a first‑come basis to residents aged 14 and over. The drive aims to broaden access to the digitally‑secure identity card that consolidates the CPF as a unique national number, gradually replacing state‑issued IDs. Required documents include a recent 3×4 cm photo, birth or marriage certificate and CPF; minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
