Cuiabá's 58th Expoagro projects over R$20 million in animal auctions and creates 2,000 jobs

The 58th Expoagro, held July 10‑19 at the Senador Jonas Pinheiro Exhibition Center in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, opened its gates to the public each day, granting free entry in exchange for a donation of one kilogram of non‑perishable food.

Organizers estimate the ten‑day fair will generate more than R$20 million solely from livestock auctions—including Nelore, pure‑bred and Pantaneiro horses—and will directly or indirectly employ over 2,000 people, boosting hotels, restaurants, transport and other service sectors across the Baixada Cuiabana.

The event also features a cultural programme with nightly concerts by artists such as Simone Mendes, Murilo Huff, Zezé Di Camargo, Thiaguinho and Wesley Safadão, a rodeo, a gastronomic pavilion and a municipal stand that offers agricultural‑family services, crafts and information from several city departments.
