Brazil hosts major culinary events promoting sustainability and buffet expertise
The Encantar Buffet Brasil conference will take place on 25‑26 August 2026 at Chácara Baluarte in Salvador. Organized by chefs Waleska Marinho and Fernanda Possa, the two‑day event expects around 500 buffet professionals from across Brazil. It will deliver technical sessions, sensory experiences and networking focused on the five pillars of the Encantamento system – Access, Management, Presentation, Operation and Vision – and aims to help participants, especially women owners, improve pricing, organization and brand building.
On 29 April 2026, the NGO Banco de Alimentos held a cooking workshop at Centro Universitário São Camilo – Campus Pompéia in São Paulo. Titled “Prepare for the World Cup: sustainable snacks using whole‑food techniques,” the workshop gathered representatives from 28 institutions. Participants prepared eight recipes, such as rustic potatoes, green stalk mayo and banana‑banana brigadeiro, receiving an average evaluation score of 9.5. The initiative promotes food waste reduction and nutritional value for fans gathering for the tournament.
