Brazil hosts regional cheese festivals in Mato Grosso and João Neiva

The 9th National Conference on Agro‑pecuarian Defense (CNDA) was held in Cuiabá, bringing together 13 small producers from Mato Grosso. With support from Sebrae/MT, the three‑day event showcased artisanal cheeses, dairy‑based sweets, rapaduras, jams and other family‑farm products. Participants such as Matheus Freitas of Sítio Milagre da Vida displayed award‑winning cheeses and requeijões, highlighting the state’s growing presence in national agro‑industrial discussions.

From Friday to Sunday, João Neiva in Espírito Santo hosted the 5th Cheese Route Festival, a free public event featuring nationally and internationally recognised cheeses, including Giacomin’s award‑winning varieties. Visitors also enjoyed craft beers, chocolates, cachaças and live music. Organisers emphasized the festival’s role as a showcase for local producers and a boost for regional tourism.
