Brazil offers free festivals and workshops nationwide in July 2026
In July 2026 a wave of free community programmes unfolded across Brazil. The 52nd Itabira Winter Festival opened registration for free workshops in dance, theatre, music, literature, visual arts and crafts for children, youth and adults. Parauapebas municipality hosted a career‑preparation lecture for adolescents, while Mogi das Cruzes held its 17th Winter Festival with concerts, exhibitions and open‑air performances. Belém’s “Verão nos Distritos” scheduled shows, sports and citizenship activities in Mosqueiro, Outeiro and Icoaraci. The University of Guarulhos (UNG) launched over 2,000 free seats in short courses on artificial‑intelligence and other professional fields. Taguatinga introduced a free musical‑theatre workshop for young people, and Itapevi’s guide listed multiple municipal, SENAI and online free courses. A training on LGBTQ + rights (Formulário Rogéria) was announced for public‑sector staff in Porto Velho. Olinda’s CEMO kept its music‑course enrolment open, while Campo Grande’s Bioparque Pantanal ran environmental workshops for children. Manaus staged its 12th “Virada Sustentável” with eco‑cultural events in three neighbourhoods. São José dos Pinhais issued a public call for rural‑development cooperatives. Petrópolis organised a free children’s summer circuit at the Estação Nogueira cultural centre. The Fundação O Pão dos Pobres certified 80 participants in IT and gastronomy programmes. Maringá’s municipality continued its free “Colônia de Férias” sports programme, and São Paulo’s Dn’A Women offered a finance‑career training for university women. Netflix‑backed audiovisual courses opened 200 slots, and the Sejuv pre‑vestibular course closed its final registration. Finally, West Plaza shopping in São Paulo provided free family‑oriented activities throughout the month. Together these initiatives covered arts, culture, sports, technology, environmental education and professional development for a broad segment of the Brazilian population.
