Brazil launches advanced vehicle tracking and cargo‑immobilizer systems to combat theft

STV’s vehicle‑tracking service provides nationwide real‑time monitoring for personal, professional and fleet vehicles across Brazil. Equipped with Anatel‑approved hardware, the system sends live location data to a dedicated monitoring centre in Porto Alegre and offers web and app access, remote engine block, and 24/7 support. The service is promoted as complementary to insurance, helping owners and operators reduce costs, optimise routes and improve security.

Grupo Tracker has introduced a new cargo‑immobilizer that combines GPS and radio‑frequency technology with two independent lock modules for the engine and accelerator. The device automatically blocks the vehicle when it detects panel breaches, signal‑jamming attempts, loss of communication with the tracker or suspicious start‑up, and can be remotely unlocked via a mobile app. Launched amid rising road‑cargo theft in Brazil—where nearly 80% of Q1 2026 robberies involved driver kidnapping—the product aims to bolster logistics security without halting operations.
