Brazil launches Aldir Blanc program for creative territories

Brazil's Minister of Culture, Margareth Menezes, has announced the creation of the National Aldir Blanc Program for the Development of Creative Territories. The initiative aims to foster sustainable development by establishing Innovation and Support Centers for the Development of Creative Territories, known as CRIAs.

These centers will receive annual investments ranging from R$ 600,000 to R$ 2 million, depending on regional needs. The program is part of the broader National Aldir Blanc Culture Funding Policy (PNAB), which has committed R$ 15 billion to cultural funding through states and municipalities. Under this framework, the federal government sets the regulations while local governments manage the selection process through their own public calls.

The program is designed to provide continuous support to cultural workers and entrepreneurs, focusing on developing productive capacities tailored to local vocations and promoting inclusion and diversity.
