Brazil launches expanded exam initiatives for students and health professionals

In Belém, the state education department organized a large Enem preparatory session under the Ativa Enem project, drawing more than 400 high‑school and adult‑education students. Participants attended lessons in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology, and praised the support, with one student noting, "The teachers explain very well and it helps me feel more prepared for the Enem," while another highlighted the motivational assistance from the school staff.

Separately, Brazil opened registrations for the 2027 National Residency Examination (Enare), offering nearly 6,000 residency positions across medical and multiprofessional health fields. Candidates can apply without a diploma in hand, with exams scheduled for 13 September 2026 in 60 cities. Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend funded by the ministries of Health and Education.

These initiatives aim to broaden access to higher education and professional training across the country.
