Brazil launches initiatives for tax reform and digital modernization

Brazilian institutions are coordinating efforts to support the country's economic transition through tax reform and digital modernization. The Receita Federal, Sebrae, Fenacon, and the Federal Accounting Council (CFC) have launched the ‘Reforma de Fato’ initiative. This program provides guidance, training, and practical tools—including calculators and simulators—to help taxpayers and small businesses adapt to the new consumption tax rules.

In a separate strategic move, Fenacon has presented a structural agenda for the 2027–2030 cycle focused on sustainable development and competitiveness. The proposal emphasizes the need for digital transformation, advocating for tax incentives and subsidized credit to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) modernize their technology and artificial intelligence capabilities. Additionally, the agenda calls for improved logistical connectivity and a robust national data infrastructure to support the digital economy.
