Brazil launches Brahic platform to boost tourism and real‑estate investment

On 28 July, Rio de Janeiro hosted the launch of the Brazil Hospitality, Tourism & Real Estate Investment Forum (Brahic), a platform created by Invest.Rio and partner Arturo García Rosa to connect public and private leaders, investors, hotel groups and developers to opportunities in Brazil’s hospitality and real‑estate sectors. The first edition of the forum is scheduled for 15‑16 March 2027 in Rio, and the initiative aims to translate growing international interest into concrete projects.

The Brazilian Hotel Independent Forum (FBHI) announced that it will return to an in‑person format at Equipotel 2026 in São Paulo on 17 September, while retaining a hybrid online component. Curated by Ameris Hotéis under CEO Nuno Jesus, the event will focus on digital evolution, technology and data in the independent‑hotel segment. Industry data show the sector attracted R$13.6 billion in investments in the first half of 2026 and expects 178 new hotels to open during the year, underscoring a broader expansion of Brazil’s hospitality market.
