Brazil launches motorbike credit scheme and digital used‑car sales platform
The federal government is finalising a financing line called Move Motos, part of the Move Brasil programme, to let app‑based delivery drivers and motorbike riders obtain zero‑kilometre motorcycles. The scheme mirrors existing credit for rideshare drivers and taxis, requires registration on the programme portal and approval by participating banks, and aims to modernise fleets and boost transport‑related economic activity.
The Transport Ministry is also developing a new feature for the CNH digital app that would enable the entire purchase‑sale process for used vehicles to be completed online. Minister of Transport George Santoro said the proposal will eliminate the need for in‑person notary visits and Detran inspections, streamlining the roughly 10 million annual transactions. A public consultation is planned before implementation, with goals of greater transparency, lower costs and reduced fraud risk.
