Brazil launches new diversity business training and ICT residency programs

Sebrae Minas has launched the ‘Negócios Plurais’ training track in Patos de Minas. In partnership with Adesp and Marca Patos, the initiative provides free workshops and consultancy for small business owners from historically marginalized groups, including people with disabilities, Black individuals, and the LGBTQIA+ community. The program aims to promote equity and market presence for local entrepreneurs.

Separately, the University of International Integration of the Afro-Brazilian Lusophony (Unilab), in partnership with Brisa, has opened applications for the TIC 16 ICT Residency Program. Aimed at students and graduates in exact sciences, the program offers training in programming, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things. Selected participants for the advanced immersion stage in Redenção will receive a monthly stipend of R$ 1,500 and a loaner notebook.
