Brazil UFO reports: FAB documents reveal 18 sightings in 2025

Documents released by the National Archive of Brazil, containing reports from the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), reveal at least 18 sightings of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) recorded in Brazil during 2025. The reports, made by pilots, air traffic controllers, and aviation professionals, are distributed across several states, with Paraná recording five cases and Ceará four.

Notable incidents include a commercial pilot in Sinop, Mato Grosso, who reported seeing four objects in a triangular formation at 41,000 feet. In Guarulhos, São Paulo, a Latam commander described seeing bright, multicolored lights that moved irregularly and caused "dry turbulence" during a flight. In Londrina, Paraná, a tower operator reported a round object with bright lights that appeared and disappeared frequently.

Additionally, declassified U.S. government documents highlight historical interest in Brazil, including a 1963 investigation into a metallic sphere reported to have crashed in Conde, Bahia, and a 1958 sighting by a Varig pilot. While these documents catalog various anomalous aerial phenomena, they do not confirm extraterrestrial origins.
