Brazil offers debt‑relief discount campaigns for students and cardholders
Senac Acre will run a Debt Reconciliation Campaign from 16 June to 16 July 2026, allowing students and former students to settle outstanding balances with full waiver of interest and penalties for cash payments. The programme also provides tiered discounts for instalment payments – up to 90 % off interest and fees for two‑to‑six‑month plans, decreasing to 50 % for ten‑month instalments. The initiative, explained by financial manager Débora Alencar, aims to reduce arrears and keep learners enrolled in its professional‑training courses across Rio Branco, Cruzeiro do Sul, Feijó and Brasiléia.
The Cartão de TODOS “Desconto que desenrola” promotion runs from 28 May to 31 July, granting delinquent card users discounts of up to 70 % on overdue amounts and the option to spread payments over six interest‑free instalments. Launched amid a record‑high national delinquency rate affecting 74 million Brazilians, the campaign seeks to restore access to health, education and consumer‑benefit services linked to the card, and includes weekly house‑raffle incentives. Marketing director Mariana Rangel says the goal is to help families renegotiate debt while maintaining their participation in the discount‑card network.
