Brazil social benefits: 2026 payment schedules for INSS, Pé-de-Meia, and PIS/Pasep

Several Brazilian social benefit programs have updated their schedules and requirements for 2026.

Regarding the INSS 13th salary, beneficiaries who received full advance payments in the first half of 2026 will not receive a new deposit at the end of the year. However, those who began receiving benefits after May 2026 are scheduled to receive their 13th salary in November.

The Pé-de-Meia program, managed by the Ministry of Education, will resume payments between August 24 and August 31, 2026. To qualify for the fifth installment, public high school students must have maintained at least 80% school attendance during May and June 2026. The program also includes retroactive payments for certain students following data corrections.

Additionally, the 2026 Abono Salarial (PIS/Pasep) calendar is based on the worker's month of birth. An estimated 26.9 million workers are eligible, provided they meet specific criteria regarding work duration and average monthly income during the 2024 base year.
