Brazil delays Move Brasil credit line for delivery riders to July 27

The federal government postponed the start of registrations for the Move Brasil program to 27 July, two weeks after the originally scheduled 13 July launch. Officials said the delay is needed to complete technology tests linking public agencies with partner banks, reducing the risk of operational failures.

Move Brasil offers low‑interest loans for motorcycles, e‑bikes and similar vehicles to autonomous delivery couriers and formally employed mototaxists. Applicants must have been on a delivery platform for at least six months with a minimum of 100 trips, or hold six months of employment for mototaxists. Each beneficiary can obtain a single vehicle, with financing provided through Caixa Econômica Federal and Banco do Brasil.

The extra two weeks give prospective borrowers more time to prepare documentation and complete the mandatory registration on the Gov.br platform before banks conduct final credit analyses.
