Brazil prepares for tax reform through institutional training

Various Brazilian institutions are conducting training and dialogue sessions to prepare for the country's upcoming tax reform. In Ceará, the State Department of Finance (Sefaz-CE) met with productive sector partners to discuss the transition to the new model, focusing on the implementation of the IBS Ceará project and the impacts expected between late 2026 and early 2027.

Simultaneously, Fenacon organized a seminar in Curitiba, in partnership with Sescap-PR and the Regional Accounting Council of Paraná (CRCPR). The training aimed to guide accountants and business owners through the practical applications of the Goods and Services Tax (IBS) and the Contribution on Goods and Services (CBS). These sessions emphasize the need for companies to revise processes, contracts, and business strategies to adapt to the new tax environment.
