Amazonas Council approves R$ 1.02 billion in industrial investments
The Amazonas State Development Council (Codam) has approved 45 industrial projects totaling R$ 1.02 billion in investments. These projects, which include new implementations, expansions, and diversifications, are expected to generate approximately 1,365 direct and indirect jobs over the next three years in the state.
Key investments include TCL Semp, which is investing over R$ 580 million to diversify into smartphone and portable microcomputer production, and Grupo Multilaser, which is investing more than R$ 38 million for the production of liquid crystal devices for televisions and monitors. Other approved projects include Zincofer Galvalume Steel Amazônia Ltda., focusing on iron and steel laminates.
In parallel, political activity remains high across Brazil. In the Amazonas region, gubernatorial candidates are conducting active campaigns in Manaus and Parintins. Meanwhile, the National Congress has entered a period of legislative hiatus following an agreement between the Executive and legislative leadership to concentrate on high-impact votes in early September. Presidential candidates are also maintaining busy schedules involving media interviews and public appearances.
