Brazil grain harvest projected to reach 367.1 million tons in 2026/27

The National Supply Company (Conab) estimates that Brazil's grain harvest for the 2026/27 cycle will reach 367.1 million tons, representing a 1.4% increase from the previous cycle. This potential record production is supported by an expansion in cultivated area, which is projected to reach 85.4 million hectares, a 2.3% increase.

Soybean production is expected to lead the volumes, with an estimated 181.6 million tons. Corn production, across three harvests, is projected at 148 million tons. While these figures suggest a robust season, officials noted that results remain preliminary and subject to adjustments based on weather conditions, planting rhythms, and final productivity levels.

Other agricultural sectors show varied trends. Brazilian coffee production is estimated at 4.1 million tons, an 18.1% increase compared to 2025. Conversely, rice production is expected to see a 2.9% decrease, with an estimated 10.8 million tons.
